Most AIS Affiliates (local iris clubs) host iris sales during the year. Depending on the locale clubs may offer potted plants or bareroot rhizomes for sale. These are locally grown by members and represent varieties that perform well in your area. Sales can occur in the Spring or later in the growing season depending on the types of irises being offered. Generally bearded iris are sold during their dormant period after spring bloom while beardless irises are sold in the early Spring or later Fall (after the heat of the summer).

The AIS also maintains a directory of reputable, commercial growers who specialize in iris culture. See our Where to Buy page for iris nurseries.
