Advertising on the AIS website
Your website is considered to be commercial if you are advertising/selling items or services on it. To have your commercial iris related link added to the AIS website, please read over and follow the simple instructions noted below.
Commercial directory listing guidelnes
Commercial links are received, reviewed, accepted and inserted into the AIS website with the following method and requirements:
- A formal request for a listing in the AIS “Where To Buy Irises” commercial directory. (Placing an AIS Bulletin ad does not automatically provide a Commercial Directory/Listing on the AIS website. )
- An active internet website is required in order to have a useful and valid link in the Commercial Directory/Listing.
- Your business is required to be considered a “current AIS Bulletin advertiser/supporter”. The following criteria define this term: a commercial concern that has published at least one or more paid advertisements in the AIS Bulletin in the preceding calendar year (2025) or the current calendar year (2026).
- Please e-mail your request to the AIS website administrator at: webmaster@irises.org. Provide your full business name, your website internet URL address and a brief one sentence description of the iris related service offered. Additionally you must provide the AIS Bulletin date/issue number and page number on which your qualifying previous AIS Bulletin advertisement occurred.
- Please note that the Commercial Directory/Listing is reviewed from time to time; listings with inactive/dead-end links are deleted; listings that are no longer a “current AIS Bulletin advertiser/supporter” are also deleted. Should your situation require it, you may re-submit your new and/or current information for a new listing.
Advertising in IRISES: The Bulletin of The American Iris Society
By advertising in IRISES, you will reach 5,000 dedicated iris growers, and secondary growers of at least five times that number in pass-alongs and botanical garden recipients.
- Hybridizing, iris culture, awards and convention reports
- Exhibitions – who won what, where and when
- Features – trends, events and varietal comments
All are covered in this quarterly Bulletin, the official printed and on-line posting of The American Iris Society
How to Place an Ad
ONLINE
Please fill out the submission form HERE
You will be asked to provide contact information, upload your formatted ad, and submit payment all through this single method. The advertising editor, Linda Wilkie, has a list of specifications for digital submissions, can answer questions regarding rates, and can assist with the submission process. Pament is due when the ad file submitted. Issues are published the first month of the quarter.

FILE SUBMISSION DEADLINES
Winter issue (December 1) / Spring issue (March 1) / Summer issue (June 1) / Fall issue (September 1)
The following file types are accepted:
- .pdf – must be exported as press-ready file
- .jpg – must high resolution (minimum 1600×1000)
- .indd – must be packaged with assets and fonts
